Ravens' Lamar Jackson soars past Eagles great Randall Cunningham for fourth in QB rushing yards

The fleet feet of Lamar Jackson have carried him to history once again.

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback’s 8-yard carry in the first quarter of Thursday’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals put him into fourth place all-time for QB rushing yards, surpassing Randall Cunningham.

Despite an ankle issue, Jackson still managed to rush for 54 yards on nine carries. This brings his career total to 4,972 yards at just 26 years old. He is nearing the milestone of becoming only the fourth quarterback to rush for 5,000 yards.

Jackson entered Week 11 needing just 11 rushing yards to run past Cunningham (4,928) for the No. 4 spot. He now trails all-time leader Michael Vick (6,109 yards), Cam Newton (5,628) and Russell Wilson (5,197).

Jackson led all quarterbacks with 48.1 rushing yards going into Thursday’s rivalry game.

Jackson is the only quarterback in NFL history with multiple 1,000-yard rushing seasons, and only the second, after Vick, to rush for 1,000 yards in a season.

His highly-praised legs propelled him up another level on the all-time QB rushing list on Thursday.
